PWA Letter

Welcome to the Western Reserve Academy Antiques Festival! We are especially excited that you are joining us for the celebration of the 30th Anniversary of this very special event.

The Antiques Festival is the major fundraiser of the Pioneer Women’s Association (“PWA”) of Western Reserve Academy, a group dedicated to enhancing and enriching student life at WRA by supporting a wide variety of extracurricular and academic programs for students.

Thirty years ago fourteen people decided that the historic grounds of Western Reserve Academy was the perfect place for the PWA to host an outdoor Antiques Festival, and worked tirelessly to bring that vision to life. Their dedication and commitment continues to inspire the hundreds of PWA volunteers needed to put on the Festival each year.  We are deeply grateful to them for their legacy of excellence.

A special thanks to the Co-chairs of this year’s Festival, Mary Kay Chlebina, Ana Silva and Bernadette Kolar, who together with their talented Committee have devoted countless hours to create a make this 30th Antiques Festival extra special!

There are many activities planned at the Festival this year, so please make sure to leave time to enjoy them all!   When it’s time for a break, dining options are numerous -- from a delicious burger at our new Grill to a gourmet lunch in Ellsworth Hall.  Don’t forget to stop by and enjoy a refreshing beverage and the relaxing ambiance at our new Wine and Beer Garden.

And of course, there’s the shopping!  With scores of the most sought after dealers in the region in attendance, you are certain to find that special one-of-a-kind treasure.  Purchase a raffle ticket (or several!) and anticipate taking home a beautiful American Sheraton cherry wood chest.

Whether this is your first visit to our Antiques Festival or your 30th, we know you will have a wonderful day.  Thank you so much for your support, and we look forward to welcoming you to our 31st Festival next year!
